FEEE Funding
& Fees
The Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) is available for children from the term after they turn 3 years old (see table below). This allows 15 hours per week of free care, for 38 weeks each academic year. You cannot claim for more than 10 hours, or take less than 2.5 hours each day. The funding can be divided between up to two settings (e.g. if your child also attends nursery).
We will ask you to fill in appropriate paperwork, and provide a copy of their birth certificate, when your child becomes eligible for funding.
Children aged 3 plus may also claim, if eligible, 30 hours of Nursery education free, conditions do apply. Information can be obtained from www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
If you are not using FEEE to pay for your child’s time at playgroup, then payment will be required, and we will invoice you termly. Payment can be made weekly, monthly, or half termly, and we accept Employers Childcare Voucher Schemes.
A child born between: Will be eligible for funding from:
1st April and 31st August The start of the Autumn Term following their 3rd birthday.
1st September and 31st December The start of the Spring Term following their 3rd birthday.
1st January and 31st March The start of the Summer Term following their 3rd birthday.
Fees and Payment
Children aged 2 plus
Children aged 2 = £22.50 for 9-12.45pm (Weds). All day £31.00 (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri)
Eligible Children 2 plus can claim funding but need to contact Leicestershire County Council direct
(0116) 3056208 (9am-4pm).
Children aged 3 plus
Children 3 plus can claim 15 hours of Nursery education free of charge on receipt of a claim form and supply a copy of the child’s birth certificate.

Children 3 plus can claim 30 hours of Nursery education free of charge on receipt of a DERN reference number, usually begins with 500... Date of Birth and National Insurance Number.

Invoices are sent out half termly.

Fees can be paid in cash, cheque made payable to: Britannia Fields Playgroup, weekly or monthly. Childcare vouchers and tax free childcare payments are accepted.
